Meet us at the DMS EXPO (September 15-17, 2009) in Cologne
Europe's leading event for Enterprise Content and Document Management is taking place in Cologne from September 15-17. On September 15, at 15:30 hours, Ulrich Schmidt, head of Product & Process Solutions at itl will be holding a lecture on the topic of "Efficiency of authoring support systems – an observation from a business perspective". In his lecture, Ulrich Schmidt contrasts the investment costs on both the hardware and software sides and the process introduction expenditures showing examples of the monetary benefits and cost-savings potential.
When new software systems are introduced into a company, there is always the question about what profit potential the new system has for the company. The benefits and ROI of authoring supporting systems (such as terminology systems and their associated, and necessary terminology work) have been challenged for many years.
However, with the availability of authoring support systems and the resulting improved access to content already created, the investment and benefits of such systems must be re-evaluated. For the first time, these systems have shown that they not only improve the quality of texts, they also clearly save money.
In his lecture, Ulrich Schmidt contrasts the investment costs on both the hardware and software sides and the process introduction expenditures showing examples of the monetary benefits and cost-savings potential. The lecture demonstrates how authoring systems can achieve a notably short ROI, independently from their system concept.
On September 15, Ulrich Schmidt will be at the gds booth, hall 07.1 booth A027.
