itl brings new version of the [i]-match authoring support system to the market
Oil transport system, oil-transport system or transport oil system? Regardless of which version is used, [i]-match, with its intelligent search, will find the correct entry for "Oil-transport-system" and thus ensure consistency in the terminology and sentence construction. With its web-based multilingual terminology and sentence database, it offers efficient process support for global terminology management.
With the new version 1.4 that itl is releasing in September 2009, the innovative software solution [i]-match now supports Adobe FrameMaker 7, 8, 9 and Microsoft Word 2003 and 2007.
[i]-match supports authors of texts while they write giving them direct access to already available sentences from the sentence database and terminology from the terminology database. And this very easily with the click of a mouse or alternatively in a batch run after writing the text.
One highlight of the new version is the option of storing a graphic with the terms in the terminology database. For example, this allows images of replacement parts and accessories to be integrated and described with additional metadata. All users of [i]-match can access the web-based terminology database and thus search for the appropriate suggested terminology. In the overview, the term is displayed in all stored languages; in the detail view, the user has access to all metadata (explanation, context, ...).
[i]-match integrates into the authoring program in a way that enables it to provide real-time feedback showing the author which sentences have already been written and which default terms are specified in the company.
[i]-match also offers the unique opportunity to suggest or incorporate new terminology or standard sentences into the [i]-match database directly from FrameMaker or Word with the click of a mouse and the ability to reuse them immediately.
You can find a detailed description of the features and advantages of [i]-match on the
[i]-match website (in German only).
