In focus: FrameMaker 9 and Adobe Technical Communication Suite 2

FrameMaker 9 has just been released, and as well as providing long-awaited support for CMYK colour workflows, it now boasts a completely re-designed user interface. FrameMaker has come of age and is now a fully-fledged member of the Adobe product portfolio.

Adobe has regained its position as the international market leader in software solutions for technical documentation, thanks not only to the enhanced support for DITA (the leading XML standard worldwide) provided with FrameMaker 9, but also because of the Technical Communication Suite, Adobe's all-in-one solution for integrating technical documentation and training material for publication to essential formats such as PDF, HTML and Flash. This is possible even if a company uses Word rather than FrameMaker to create technical documentation.

The fascinating development of InDesign CS4 also continues, underlying Adobe's clever 3-pronged strategy: regardless of whether Word, InDesign or FrameMaker is used in creating technical documentation, Adobe now offers a complete package, individually tailored to the selected editing tool.

itl will present Adobe's strategy in greater detail as part of a series of evening lectures. Our itl experts will critically examine the entire Adobe product portfolio and provide demonstrations based on realistic use cases.

These evening lectures are free of charge and take place in Munich, Stuttgart and Vienna:
